WELL HELLO THERE!
We’re Clancy and Fiona, the husband-and-wife duo behind Palmer & Gunn—a dream we built from scratch and poured our hearts into. Thanks for stopping by to join us on this wild, wonderful journey of creating a life that celebrates slow living, hosting, and a little slice of magic on our small farm in the Gold Coast Hinterland, Queensland, Australia.
It all began in 2016, when we stumbled upon what is now our Wee Farm. Picture this: a farmhouse and shed so neglected they were practically falling down. But where others saw dilapidation, we saw potential. It was bold, maybe a little mad, but we dove in headfirst.
At the time, we were still working full-time jobs with a three-hour daily commute. On top of that, we began the painstaking work of restoring the farmhouse while launching our farm business. There were sleepless nights, countless sacrifices, and moments of doubt—but somehow, we always believed in the vision of what this wee farm could be. Fun fact: we even demolished an entire house near Casino, NSW, salvaging materials over six weekends and transporting them back to the farm to use in the restoration.
Fast-forward through a lot of blood, sweat and tears and the farmhouse was restored. For a time, it served as accommodation for our farm stay. Hosting families at our farm was an incredible experience, but eventually, we felt a pull to create something different—something smaller, more intentional, and perfectly suited for quiet escapes.
Enter Wee Tiny, a one-of-a-kind Tiny House we built from reclaimed materials, antique doors, vintage fittings, and thoughtfully chosen furnishings. Nestled by the creek and featuring a wood-fired hot tub, it was crafted for slow stays, where life’s agenda is simply to unwind, recharge, and be present. Our hearts skipped a beat when Wee Tiny graced the cover of Country Style Magazine Australia—a true pinch-me moment for us!
As the years rolled on, Palmer & Gunn grew with us. In 2021, we turned our grand old shed into a beautiful workshop space, framed by our lush cut flower patch. Here, we began hosting Workshops that celebrate self-sufficiency, intentional living, and the joy of connecting with like-minded souls.
The same year, we reached a milestone we had only dreamed of—leaving behind our day jobs to work full-time on the farm. Finally, we were living the ultimate dream of flexibility, creativity, and meaningful work on our own terms.
In December 2022, we launched Palmer & Gunn Bespoke Elopements, offering couples intimate, all-inclusive packages that allow them to savor every moment of their special day. It’s been a joy to witness love stories unfold in the beautiful spaces we’ve created.
Our Wee Farm has become more than a home—it’s a place where stories are shared, moments are celebrated, and creativity thrives. From hosting guests at Wee Tiny, tending to our cows, harvesting honey, growing flowers, and opening our gates to film crews, every day brings something new and exciting.
We built Palmer & Gunn not just as a business, but as a lifestyle that we hope inspires others to chase their own dreams. Whether you’re visiting us, joining a workshop, or simply following along, we’re so grateful to share this journey with you.
